WCM's management team brings together more than 200 combined years of experience across engineering, production, quality, finance, HR, IT, and customer service. Founded in 1993 by CEO Weyman Lundquist, our team holds advanced degrees from Stanford, UC Berkeley, Virginia Tech, and Cal Poly, and spans disciplines from ISO-certified quality management and Lean Six Sigma manufacturing to cybersecurity, RF engineering, and analog power electronics — all in service of delivering magnetic components that meet specification, on time, every time.

Weyman Lundquist Engineering Manager & CEO

Recognized as one of the leading designers in the field of magnetics, Weyman is dedicated to advancing the technology of power magnetic design. A significant portion of his award-winning work has focused on predicting and reducing winding losses in power inductors and transformers.

In partnership with researchers at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, Weyman has helped advance the understanding of power magnetics technology. These discoveries have resulted in improved magnetic devices for the power electronics industry.

Weyman is an active lecturer and instructor as well as an avid sportsman. He holds a BA from Dartmouth with a major in Engineering, MSME from the University of California, Berkeley and an MS Engineering Management from Stanford University.

Evelyn M. Peregrino-White Chief Financial Officer

As CFO, Evelyn is responsible for all accounting, budgeting and financial oversight activities for the company. Evelyn’s direct financial responsibilities include a monthly, quarterly and annual preparation of profit and loss statements for the company as a whole and by facility as well as maintaining a current balance sheet. The team reporting to Evelyn reviews and processes accounts receivables, accounts payables as well as payroll. Evelyn is also responsible for managing building security, open health enrollment and the company’s 401K plan.

Evelyn sets an example for everyone in the company with her dedication to the company. She can be counted on to do whatever it takes to get her job done and is often seen around the office at 6 PM or later.

Evelyn started with WCM in 2013 when the company had only 30 employees. Now it’s grown to over 130 employees thanks to the dedication of the employees and the people-first values of WCM.

Personally, Evelyn put herself through college and maintained a 4.0 average while working and raising her two children as a single parent. Now they’re adults, and she remains close to them. She also maintains strong ties with her five brothers and a sister, who live nearby. Evelyn is married to “Staff Sergeant,” whom she met in 2006 after he’d just returned from a tour in Iraq.

Carmen Rodriguez HR Manager

With a BA degree in business and 25 years of experience as an HR Manager, Carmen brings a lot of depth and knowledge to the HR function at WCM. Carmen supports both production personnel and office staff in Stockton, and with fluency in Spanish, she also manages the HR team at our Mexico facility. As part of her daily job, Carmen oversees company policy development and enforcement, training, recruiting and compliance with state and federal labor laws.

Carmen is known for her kind, employee centric, respectful demeanor and her ability to foster a safe and pleasant work environment. Carmen strives daily to help every WCM employee grow and mentors them for career development. Ensuring that every employee has the training, resources, and support to succeed and grow in their role is very important to Carmen.

Outside of work, Carmen enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is a valuable member of the West Coast Magnetics team, and her dedication and experience adds a lot to the outstanding management team here at WCM.

Vivien Yang Quality Manager

Vivien is a degreed quality professional who has led the company from a basic quality management system to full ISO9001/2008 and ISO13485 certification at both facilities. Vivien is also a vetted designer of transformers and inductors at SMPS frequencies with many successful designs to her credit. Vivien is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and is responsible for international vendor qualification.

Vivien holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Industrial Technology from California State University, Fresno.

Toni Jimenez Purchasing Manager

With more than 30 years of experience in procurement within the magnetics and passives industry, Toni is our most experienced employee. As the department head, Toni wears many hats; a few of the most important ones include improvements to our MRP system, vendor qualification, and process workflow improvements supporting our Quality Management System.

Lisa Reyes Stockton Production Manager

With more than 20 years of experience building transformers and inductors of all types, Lisa is responsible for leading the production team at WCM. In addition to scheduling and expediting, Lisa is responsible for the Quality System improvements, meet or exceed our quality system goals. Her efforts help us improve productivity, reduce lead time and lower costs.

Sarah Amschler Marketing & Stockroom Manager

Sarah joined us in 2008 and serves as your Marketing and Stockroom Manager, assisting current customers with processing quotes and orders, and collaborating with new customers from design to production. Sarah's 17 years of experience equips her with all the necessary tools to ensure her customers receive the outstanding service and responsiveness, which are key operating tenets of WCM. Her insights into clients’ needs, and the process flow of WCM is what has led to her promotion to Stockroom Manager while continuing as Marketing Manager at West Coast Magnetics.

In her personal life, Sarah is busy pursuing a degree in criminal and business law. When not working or hitting the books, she enjoys quality time with her family, especially the cute new grandbabies.

Ingo Azarvand IT Manager

Ingo joined us full-time in 2019 after 20 years of providing remote IT support. During these years, Ingo also worked in IT analysis for Redwood City, California, and for the Redwood City Police Department. At West Coast Magnetics, Ingo ensures the IT network and systems remain well-functioning so the company can grow and run efficiently.

As an accomplished IT professional, Ingo is a cybersecurity, network administration, and technical support expert. Ingo recognizes the importance of safeguarding WCM from evolving cyber threats and ensures data protection with careful monitoring.

Ingo builds relationships throughout the organization to assess IT needs and develop solutions. He blends strategic IT thinking for the future with today’s IT requirements.

Sanathkumar Patil Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Sanath oversees parts manufacturing across the plant. He works with customers to develop functioning prototypes and then turns those prototypes into high-volume manufacturing by working with cross-functional teams. Using LEAN SIX SIGMA tools and his experience at an Apple manufacturing plant, he’s dedicated to providing a 100% defect-free product to customers.

Dustin Carter Manufacturing Engineer

Dustin’s multifaceted role supports the manufacturing builds across departments. Skilled in R & D and large-scale project coordination, Dustin provides key mechanical expertise and support for customers’ LAM Research and Applied Materials. He’s often seen speed-walking around the facility, communicating and coordinating vital information with key stakeholders.

Dustin’s a problem solver and well-versed in 3D modeling. Besides being a point person for mechanical expertise, he enjoys designing and implementing fixtures to streamline build processes.

In addition to being a proud father, Dustin studied both the cello and drums and now enjoys playing in his home music studio.

Dustin holds an MBA from Capella University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Pacific.

Blong Xiong Manufacturing Engineer

A distinguished graduate of CSU Sacramento holding a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Blong has spent over ten years supporting the manufacture of complex state-of-the-art products in the electronics and aerospace industries.

Blong ensures that all customers’ engineering specifications are met. Attention to detail and a commitment to collaboration are key to Blong’s impressive track record of getting each part manufactured and assembled both correctly and promptly. He enjoys working closely with customers as well as multiple departments at West Coast Magnetics, from Purchasing and Doc Control to Customer Service Representatives.

Beyond the realm of generating work instructions and creating drawings, Blong finds joy in exploring diverse culinary delights and discovering new places alongside his wife and young children.

Richard Byle Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

With over 30 years of experience, Richard leads design and production efforts at West Coast Magnetics. His work focuses on simplifying complex processes, improving product designs, and ensuring quality in everything we make.

Richard is proud to be at the forefront of developing new medical and technological solutions that improve lives. Known for solving problems quickly and efficiently, Richard is always ready to help his team succeed. His commitment to excellence is a key part of our manufacturing success.

Outside of work, he's equally active, leading youth in Scouts BSA and teaching them about leadership and respect for nature. His dedication to making a difference both in and out of the workplace embodies the spirit of West Coast Magnetics.

Dave Wolze Sr. RF Engineer

Dave has worked over four decades at elite Silicon Valley corporations such as KLA-Tencor and AMAT. He specializes in CPLD and FPGA Verilog, holding several patents on power electronics designs and SMPS control. At West Coast Magnetics, Dave is not just an engineer but a problem-solver who thrives on the manufacturing floor, addressing challenges with finesse. He’s central to product development, from ideation to execution, seamlessly combining ORCAD design with compliance know-how for seamless product rollout.

With a wealth of experience in designing robust power electronics and electrical systems, including those up to 100 kW, he’s advanced the boundaries of engineering through hands-on system integration and transformative design.

Dave combines innovation with practical expertise, and his deep understanding of analog and digital signal processing and servo design is reflected in every project, whether it's a high-frequency RF plasma instrument or a worldwide-operable low-noise power supply.

At West Coast Magnetics, Dave symbolizes our commitment to quality and innovation, ensuring our clients receive unparalleled magnetic solutions.

Eric Bettencourt Electrical Engineer

Eric channels a lifelong passion for analog power electronics into his work at WCM. His previous experience includes work with semiconductors at LAM Research and a Berkeley startup developing novel plasma generation technology. In these roles, he had the opportunity to work with WCM’s Dave Wolze and CEO Weyman Lundquist.

Eric’s dedication to analog power electronics shines in his enthusiasm and positive attitude. Quick to help or offer his expertise, Eric is a valuable asset.

Outside work, he enjoys experimenting with recipes, staying active, jamming on his guitar, and designing audio electronics. He’s a devoted older brother to his younger siblings.

Eric holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Rajashree Ramu Electrical Engineer

Rajashree brings hands-on experience from one of India’s premier research institutions. In her role at WCM, she collaborates closely with teams across mechanical engineering, quality assurance, purchasing, and manufacturing to ensure every design is feasible, cost-effective, and ready for production. She also works closely with customers to ensure the designs meet their specifications and expectations.

She joined WCM because she values participating in the entire product lifecycle from initial design to production. At WCM, she gets to see the real-world impact of her work and appreciates the company’s commitment to product quality, as well as its supportive environment.

In her free time, Rajashree enjoys playing badminton and creating music. She records and sings new songs, and experiments with freestyle and hip-hop dancing.

Rajashree holds a Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia.

Tara Gibson Director of Customer Service

Tara joined us in 2020 with over 20 years of customer service experience during which she held leadership roles at AT&T and PG&E. At West Coast Magnetics Tara is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, managing a departmental employee training program, and driving process improvements leading to improved efficiency and quality system compliance. She builds strong relationships both inside and outside the organization by fostering high levels of trust and encouraging everyone to leave our egos at the doors.

Tara knows that customer satisfaction is paramount and to that end she is constantly working to improve interdepartmental communications to ensure that all of our customers are receiving timely, accurate, and complete responses from the members of her team.

Elizabeth Menchaca Sr. Account Representative

Elizabeth has more than 10 years of experience as a customer service representative for West Coast Magnetics. Elizabeth handles many of key customers providing support for technical problems, supply chain issues, Kan Ban requirements and expedites. Elizabeth also has a significant knowledge of import and export logistics which she uses to support our international customers. Elizabeth’s cheerful, trustworthy and low key demeanor has endeared her to everyone in her orbit.

Alongside her work, she’s pursuing a degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management and is in her senior year at Cal State University East Bay and will soon earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She’s also a mom of one daughter and enjoys spending time with her extended family doing outdoor activities and trying out new vegan recipes.

Lo Vang Sr. Account Representative

Lo started in WCM’s production team ten years ago and worked his way through a variety of departments. In his current role as Sr. Account Representative, he leans on that multifaceted knowledge to process customer quotes, schedules, and purchase orders. He also works closely with other teams to ensure a seamless delivery.

Lo has contributed to WCM's growth through his positive attitude and initiative. During his time in the production and purchasing departments, he worked closely with the engineers and customers to identify materials that may help support or improve designs. He’s also identified new suppliers integral to WCM’s growth while maintaining relationships with current suppliers.

In his personal time, he enjoys playing and watching sports and going to the gym. Lo also enjoys exploring new cities, trying new restaurants, cooking, and attending concerts.

Lisette Perez Sr. Account Representative

As a Senior Account Representative at West Coast Magnetics, Lisette provides seamless communication between clients and the company, ensuring that each project gets exceptional service and delivery. With a focus on managing client accounts and preparing detailed reports, she collaborates closely with various departments and is committed to high customer satisfaction.

Alysa Salcedo Account Representative

Alysa is a go-to problem solver for customer inquiries. She’s detail-oriented, collaborative, and communicative, keeping purchase orders on track and deadlines met.

Alysa’s journey at WCM is a testament to her drive and commitment. She started at the front desk and embraced the opportunity to learn, working her way up to Account Representative. Alysa attributes her success to positive communication, hard work, empathy, and patience.

In her free time, Alysa enjoys immersing herself in a good book, hitting the gym, and exploring new restaurants and cities. She graduated from Edison High School.
