Basic Function

We are currently seeking a Shipping Clerk 1 to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all outgoing products are properly labeled, packaged, and shipped in a timely and accurate manner, helping us maintain our high standards of customer satisfaction and quality.

Responsibility

The Shipping Clerk 1 has the responsibility to:

  1. Label and pack finished parts according to detailed instructions and customer specifications.
  2. Ensure packaging methods prevent damage during shipping; suggest improvements when needed.
  3. Accurately prepare and maintain all shipping paperwork, labels, and documentation.
  4. Confirm that all job paperwork is complete and that part numbers match across shipping logs, invoices, and packages.
  5. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality Inspection, Stockroom, and Customer Service teams.
  6. Assist with printing packing slips, bar code labels, and managing filing tasks.
  7. Follow all company work instructions, safety guidelines, and 5S standards.
  8. Support continuous improvement in shipping efficiency and product quality.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2 years of shipping experience.
  • Labeling local and international shipping.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. to shoulder height.
